Approximation

Converting an output to a numerical Approximation lets you investigate tolerance sensitivity.  The resulting expression is a Taylor series of 1st or 2nd order expanded about the current numerical values of the variables. Here are the steps.

1. select the symbolic output
2. from the Selection Context menu (right-click) choose All Properties
3. scroll to the bottom of the window and check the Use Approximation box
4. click the Approximation Order line and the   button to chose between Linear and Quadratic.

If you have many outputs for using Approximation, you can change the default setting in Edit / Preferences / Math / Output before you make your output calculations.
