Scaling the App

Scaling the App

Top  Previous  Next

The Auto-scale checkbox in the JavaScript Applet Generator dialog lets Mx decide the size of the drawing in the app window.  It does this without knowing how the drawing might move in a simulation, so only check this box if there is no movement in the app, or if the movement doesn't change the bounds of the drawing, as in the Brachistochrone example below.

In the Trebuchet example is one that should not use the Auto-scale function, we leave the box unchecked. When you finish entering all the applet details, Mx prompts you to select the drawing area.  Remember to leave enough space around the drawing to account for movement.  If you need to adjust it after the export, just go back to the Mx file.  All the details are saved, so you don't have to reenter them, just do another export and redraw the boundaries of the model.
